Fanrise is the world's first music based social platform that certifies when you discover an artist. Acting as the central database, Fanrise allows users to log their music journey by stamping a Discovery Pass, which stores metrics such as listener count, date, and serial number. Then it's attached to your own personal profile to display and share with friends.

When that artist grows, your pass could become rare! Then you can choose to either hold on to that trophy, or sell it on the market to another fan who wants the whole collection! Maybe you got a really low serial number, or maybe you were one of the earliest fans and got them at a really low listener count!

You only need to create a Stripe Connect account if you wish to sell Discovery Passes on the secondary market. You can totally still buy, collect, and build an impressive display without signing up for Stripe! Since Fanrise operates a marketplace where any user can sell items, we must comply with federal and local regulations.

Stripe handles all of the personal ID verification and tax information required. Depending on the state you live in you may receive necessary tax forms from Stripe if you cross a threshold in dollars of sales. Research your local regulations to learn whether you'll qualify or not.

Discovery Passes go live in 100-pass drops at a fixed $9.99 price whenever an artist reaches a new first-time 100,000-listener milestone on Fanrise. If the next 100,000 milestone is reached before that window sells out, the remaining passes are removed permanently and a fresh 100 go live for the new window.

There are 5 tiers of discovery passes, starting at 100k monthly listeners. Artists between 100k-500k have Pioneer Discovery Passes, these are the rarest since the fanbase is the smallest and there is only ever 400 max available. If there isn't much interest in the artist during this time, there may be far fewer since batches of 100 are taken off sale at each 100k increment. Scout tier encompasses 500k-2.5M listeners. Vanguard is 2.5M-10M listeners. Premier is 10M-50M. Legend tier is 50M listeners+.

Passes are only available during first-time 100K listener windows tracked after an artist is added to Fanrise. If an artist falls below a milestone they already unlocked, no new supply is added on the rebound. New passes only appear once they reach a brand-new higher 100K peak.

Yes! Start by searching the artist you're looking for. If they don't match our records, you can request for them to be added and they should be available within 24 hours, sometimes sooner!
