Fanrise ("Fanrise," "we," "our," or "us") is a social platform centered around music discovery that allows users to obtain, display, and transfer Discovery Passes™. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use Fanrise.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with Fanrise, which features you use, and the choices you make in your account settings.
We may combine information from different sources to operate, secure, and improve the platform in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or use Fanrise, you may provide information directly to us.
- Email address.
- Username.
- Password (stored using security controls; Fanrise does not store passwords in plain text).
- Date of birth.
- Phone number (optional or required for certain security features, including two-factor authentication).
- Profile information, including profile photo and bio.
- Additional profile data you choose to provide, such as social links and other user-submitted profile content.
1.2 Marketplace and Transaction Information
When you interact with the Fanrise marketplace, we collect records needed to process and document marketplace activity.
Payment information such as full card numbers, billing card details, and sensitive payment credentials is processed by third-party payment providers (including Stripe) and is not stored by Fanrise.
- Records of Discovery Pass™ purchases, listings, transfers, and related transaction events.
- Transaction history associated with your account.
- Limited payment metadata, such as transaction identifiers, processor status, and payout status.
- For sellers, payout and identity verification information may be collected and processed by third-party providers (including Stripe Connect), subject to their terms and privacy practices.
1.3 Public Profile Information
Certain information is visible to other users by design as part of Fanrise's social and marketplace functionality.
- Username.
- Profile image.
- Bio.
- Discovery Pass™ ownership and collection activity.
- Marketplace listings and listing activity.
- Follower and following counts.
1.4 User-Generated Content
We collect content you create or upload through Fanrise features.
- Profile photos and bios.
- Content submitted through support or feedback channels.
- Future social content, including posts, comments, replies, reactions, and similar user-generated features when available.
1.5 Communications
We collect information associated with communications between you and Fanrise.
- Support requests and related communications.
- Emails sent to and from Fanrise.
- Preferences regarding account, security, product, and marketing notifications.
1.6 Technical, Device, and Usage Information
We and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage data when you access or use Fanrise.
This information helps us operate services, monitor performance, secure accounts, prevent fraud, and improve user experience.
- Cookies and similar technologies.
- Basic usage signals, such as page interactions and feature usage.
- Potential future data categories, including device type, browser type, IP address, log events, and analytics signals.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide, operate, maintain, protect, and improve Fanrise and related services.
Depending on context and applicable law, we may use information for the following purposes:
- Create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts and profiles.
- Process marketplace activity, including Discovery Pass™ purchases, listings, transfers, and payouts.
- Provide platform features, account tools, and social functionality.
- Send transactional and operational communications, including receipts, security alerts, and service notices.
- Monitor, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, and policy violations.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and respond to lawful requests.

3. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell personal information for money.
We may share information with third parties for business purposes described in this policy, including service delivery, security, compliance, and lawful operations.
3.1 Service Providers
We may share information with vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, subject to appropriate contractual and security controls.
- Payment processors and payout providers (including Stripe and Stripe Connect).
- Database and backend infrastructure providers (including Supabase).
- Hosting and deployment providers (including Vercel).
- Email and communications providers (including MailerSend and Zoho Mail).
- Analytics and performance tools (including Google Analytics).
- Public-data enrichment providers used for product functionality (including Soundcharts).
3.2 Legal Requirements and Protection
We may disclose information where necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests, and to protect users, Fanrise, or the public.
- Comply with legal obligations, court orders, subpoenas, and lawful requests.
- Enforce our Terms of Service and related policies.
- Protect against fraud, abuse, security threats, and unauthorized activity.
3.3 Business Transfers
If Fanrise is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of its business, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Where required, we will provide notice consistent with applicable law.
4. Public Data and Platform Design
Fanrise is designed as a social and marketplace platform. Certain account and activity information is intentionally visible to other users.
Information shared publicly on Fanrise, including profile details, Discovery Pass™ ownership, and listing activity, may be viewed, copied, or further shared by others. Please use discretion when sharing public content.
5. Legal Bases and Permitted Processing Grounds
Depending on your jurisdiction, we process personal information based on one or more recognized legal grounds, including: performance of a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, consent, and protection of rights and safety.
Where consent is required by law, you may withdraw consent, subject to legal or operational limitations.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Fanrise and third-party service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember settings, analyze usage, and support security features.
You may be able to control certain cookie or tracking preferences through browser settings or applicable consent tools. Disabling certain technologies may affect feature availability and performance.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Fanrise, satisfy legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, detect and prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods vary by data type, account status, legal requirements, and operational necessity.
If you delete your account, certain data may be retained for up to one (1) year or longer when required or permitted by law, including for legal compliance, audit, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, security, and dispute resolution.
De-identified, anonymized, or aggregated data that does not identify you may be retained indefinitely for lawful purposes.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, update, delete, and request a copy of certain personal information.
You may also have rights to object to or restrict certain processing and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, and additional verification may be required.
- Access account information.
- Update or correct profile and account information.

- Manage communication preferences, including marketing opt-out choices.
9. U.S. State Privacy Rights and Nondiscrimination
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state laws, which may include rights to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing activities.
Fanrise does not discriminate against users for exercising applicable privacy rights, subject to lawful exceptions.
Where required by state law, we will process and respond to verifiable consumer requests consistent with legal timelines and obligations.
10. Security and Incident Response
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Security measures may include authentication controls, account protections such as two-factor authentication, monitoring and anti-abuse systems, and periodic security improvements.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a confirmed incident, we may investigate, remediate, and provide notices where required by law.
11. Children's Privacy (13+)
Fanrise is intended for users who are at least 13 years old, consistent with our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 was collected without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete that information as required by law.
12. International Users and Data Transfers
Fanrise is currently intended for users in the United States.
If Fanrise expands internationally, information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in jurisdictions other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ.
Where required, we will apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Third-Party Services and Links
Fanrise may integrate with third-party services, tools, or websites. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before sharing information.
14. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no uniform industry standard for DNT signal interpretation, Fanrise may not respond to DNT signals at this time unless required by applicable law.
15. Platform Evolution and Future Features
As Fanrise evolves, we may introduce additional features, such as messaging, social posting, comments, referrals, and promotional systems.
This Privacy Policy applies to those features unless additional, feature-specific disclosures are provided.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, operational, or security changes.
When required, we will provide notice through the platform, email, or other appropriate channels. Continued use of Fanrise after an updated policy becomes effective indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
